Dear Parents, students and well wishers “Education is a social process, Education is growth, Education is not preparation for life but is life itself.” As we stand at the threshold of a new promising academic session 2026-2027, it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you all back to St. Mary’s English High School.

The educational landscape is constantly evolving and so are we moving beyond rote learning to embrace competency-based education, encouraging curiosity, crucial thinking and creativity as aligned with the new curriculum and guidelines.

We now find ourselves at a transformative juncture in Indian Education in alignment with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, as CBSE is leading a historic shift from what to learn and how to think.

We too at St. Mary’s are fully embracing these changes to ensure that our students are not just exam ready but future ready.

Starting from class 6 our students will now study three languages with at least two being native Indian languages, promoting multi lingualism and cultural rootedness.

For class 9 students, we are introducing an optional Advanced level for Mathematics and Science. This risk free option will allow students to test Higher order thinking skills without affecting their overall aggregate. Following the latest mandates of Ministry of Education, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational thinking are now woven into the curriculum starting from class 3, preparing our children for a tech-driven future.

We have also introduced significant changes to reduce exam stress and value consistence effort.

To streamline academic records, every student is now assigned a permanent APAAR ID (One Nation One Student ID) which will host their Holistic Progress Card and lifelong academic achievements digitally. We believe that these changes will empower our students to become creative and responsible global citizens.

We at St. Mary’s always try to maintain the highest quality in academic standards and provide the most conducive environment for our students’ holistic growth. While we continue to strive for academic brilliance, we are equally committed to nurturing the “human” within each of the student fostering empathy, resilience and critical thinking. Our dedicated and highly qualified staff stand as exemplary role models for our students, thereby keeping the ethos of our school shining bright.

To our students,

I encourage you to be curious, stay resilient and remember that growth takes place only when you step out of your comfort zone. Remember everyday is an opportunity to be better than you were yesterday.

To our parents, Thank You for your continued trust in us. Thank you for being our greatest allies. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the foundation of a child’s success.

Lets’ step into this session with energy and purpose. Lets work together to make this session a year of discovery, growth and excellence, shared learning, mutual respect and remarkable achievements.

May God Bless You All.

Warm Regards,
