500 NCC Cadets of 37 Jharkhand Battalion Take a Pledge to Make Yoga an Integral Part of Life
Jamshedpur, 21 June 2026:
On the auspicious occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, a grand and inspiring yoga programme was organized at St. Mary’s English High School, Bistupur, under the joint aegis of 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC. Around 500 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm, discipline, and energy.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among the youth about the importance of yoga and to encourage them to adopt yoga as an essential part of a healthy, balanced, and disciplined lifestyle. Trained yoga instructors guided the cadets through various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques. The cadets actively performed yoga and pledged to practice it regularly in their daily lives.
On this occasion, the importance of yoga was highlighted among the cadets. They were informed that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a positive way of life that helps maintain harmony between the body, mind, and soul. Regular practice of yoga contributes to better physical health, mental peace, concentration, and self-confidence.
During the programme, the message “Do Yoga, Stay Healthy” was emphasized, inspiring all cadets to adopt yoga for a healthy and positive lifestyle. The cadets took a pledge to make yoga an integral part of their lives.
The grand event was attended by Commanding Officer of 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Colonel Vinay Ahuja; Assistant Commanding Officer Colonel Premchandra Jha; ANOs, CTOs, BCA, JCA, PI Staff, and teachers from various schools and colleges. All officers and teachers encouraged the cadets and motivated them to practice yoga regularly for a healthier and more disciplined life.
The programme concluded with the NCC Anthem and the inspiring slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The event proved to be a memorable and motivating initiative towards promoting health, discipline, and the spirit of nation-building among the youth.
